(c) Our Story

About Casa Sol

Casa Sol Cocina began in 2014 as a six-table courtyard kitchen serving the recipes Chef Elena Marín grew up with in Oaxaca. Today the dining room is larger, but the kitchen still turns on the same rule: nothing arrives frozen, nothing leaves rushed.

We nixtamalize our own corn, grind salsas on volcanic stone, and buy produce from three growers within ninety miles. The result is food that tastes like a family table with the precision of a modern restaurant.

★★★★★
The al pastor alone is worth the drive — smoky, bright, and the masa is impossibly fresh. Feels like a real neighborhood institution.
